Description

No. 118 on Market Street is a pair of cottages, likely built in the late 18th century, that have been converted into a single dwelling. The exterior features rock-faced sandstone with punched rusticated quoins, and it has a slate roof with gable chimneys and a ridge chimney. The building has a double-depth, two-bay plan and stands two storeys tall. Each section of the cottage has a doorway on the right, although the second doorway has been altered to serve as a window. The front facade includes two stepped triple-light windows on each floor. At the rear, there are two 2-light windows with square mullions.
