Description
Nos. 2 and 4 Lord's Court are a pair of 18th-century cottages located on Burnley Road in Bacup. They are constructed from coursed sandstone blocks and feature a stone slate roof with one ridge chimney and two gable chimneys, while the sides and rear are rendered. Each cottage has one bay and stands two storeys high. The doors are located on the right side of each cottage; both are boarded and studded with plain surrounds, and the right door is sheltered by a slab canopy. There is one window on each floor of both cottages. The ground floor window on the right was formerly a shop window with 12 panes and has modern shutters, while the other windows are all of two lights with a flush mullion, with the right light being sashed. A name plate reading "LORD'S COURT" is positioned above the left-hand door, and there are stone gutter brackets present.
