Description
Lower Asker Hill is a late 18th-century laithe house constructed from slobbered rubble and topped with a modern tile roof. The building stands two storeys high, with the main part of the house on the right featuring two bays. The windows have glazing bars and plain stone surrounds, with the right-hand bay displaying tripartite, stepped windows that include square mullions. The left side of the house projects forward under a continuous roof, with a window featuring plain reveals and glazing bars on the front wall. The right-hand return wall contains the front door, which has plain reveals, along with a small window with plain reveals above it. Adjoining the left side is a barn that is built continuously with the house, featuring a wide entrance with plain reveals and a segmental head. To the left of the barn is another door with plain reveals, followed by a second wide entrance with a flat lintel and a pitching hole above it. A chimney is located on the right-hand gable of the house.
