Description

The Friends' Meeting House and the adjoining cottage to the southwest, built in 1767, is a Quaker meeting house made of slobbered limestone rubble with sandstone dressings. The front roof is covered with blue slates, while the rear pitch features stone slates. The building consists of one and two storeys, with a cellar located under the right-hand (northeast) end.

The windows have plain stone surrounds and square mullions, with the cottage having one bay and two storeys. The cottage features a door on the right with a plain stone surround and a hood made of two pitched stone slates. Above the door is a plaque with a moulded border that reads 'TBM 1767'. The meeting house, located to the right, has three bays, with the first and second bays containing windows only on the ground floor. The windows in the right-hand bay have small panes. The door between the first and second bays has a plain stone surround and a hood of two pitched stone slates. There is also a cellar door at the right-hand end with a plain stone surround. At the rear of the cottage, there is a later outshut.

Inside, against the rear wall, there is a raised bench with a front of raised and fielded panels. The right-hand end is separated from the main room by a wall of raised and fielded panelling, and above this end is a gallery. The panels between the main room and the room beneath can be opened as shutters.
