Description

The property is a late 18th-century house in Grindleton, built with squared sandstone and covered by a slate roof. It is two storeys high, with two bays, and features chamfered quoins. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars and architraves. A door, situated between the bays, is flanked by Tuscan pilasters, and has a moulded semi-circular head with a large stepped keystone, accompanied by a fanlight with intersecting glazing bars. Above the door is a moulded pediment supported by thin console brackets. A chimney is present on the right-hand gable and to the left of the left-hand bay. A blank wall to the left of the left-hand bay suggests a former connection to a farm building. The rear of the house includes a stair window with a plain stone surround and glazing bars, alongside a re-used three-light mullioned window with double-chamfered mullions.
