Description
Thirty Acres Farmhouse is a house built in 1591, which has been altered over time. It is constructed of rendered rubble and features a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys. The facade includes a one-bay cross-wing on the right side with modern windows, while the first-floor window has a plain stone surround. On the left side, there is an outshut with a door that also has a plain stone surround. In the center, there is a bay featuring a three-light double-chamfered mullioned window with a hood. The first floor has a modern window. A chimney is located to the left of the door and on the right-hand return wall of the cross-wing, which projects and has a brick cap. This wall also contains a one-light chamfered window towards the left. To the right, there is a double-chamfered window with a hood and two concrete mullions, and on the first floor, there is a two-light mullioned window with plain reveals. Inside the outshut porch, there is a chamfered doorway with a Tudor-arched head inscribed '1591 EM'. The ground floor has little of interest apart from chamfered main joists.
