Description
Roefield is an 18th-century building with 19th-century alterations, located on Edisford Road. It is two storeys high and features a main block with a central porch from the 19th century that has panelled piers. The ground floor includes a bay window and a two-light window, both from the 19th century, while the upper storey has two two-light windows and a central round-headed single light window that appears to be from the 18th century. The building has eaves modillions and rusticated quoins. To the right, there is a wing that projects forward, featuring a two-storey bay window with an eaves cornice and a parapet above, also with rusticated quoins. This section of the house has a stone tiled roof, while the rest is covered with green slate. There are modern extensions to the property. Roefield and the former stables to Roefield form a group.
