Description
Duckmire Farmhouse, built in the late 18th century, is a house made of squared watershot sandstone and topped with a stone slate roof. It has two storeys and two bays. The windows are sash style with glazing bars and plain stone surrounds. The front door, located between the bays, also features a plain stone surround. There are end stacks on the building.
At the rear, there is a re-used 17th-century chamfered door surround with a debased four-centred head, along with a two-light window that has a square mullion on each floor. The barn adjoining to the west has a wide entrance with chamfered jambs and voussoirs. On the far right of the barn, there is a door with a plain stone surround, and to its left is a similar window. Above this door, there is a pitching hole with a plain stone surround. On the far left of the barn, there is a re-used doorway with a chamfered surround and a debased four-centred head, and a similar doorway can be found at the rear. The west gable of the barn features coping.
