Description

Houlker's Farmhouse is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of squared sandstone with a stone slate roof. The building is two storeys high, featuring one ground-floor window on each side of the front door and five windows on the first floor. Windows have simple reveals and projecting moulded sills; on the ground floor, the original sills and lintels were longer than the present window openings. The front door has a lugged architrave with a stepped keystone. Chimneys are situated to the right of the door and on the left-hand gable; the latter chimney has a projecting stack.
