Description
These pigsties with a poultry loft, located approximately 15 meters northwest of Wilkinson's Farmhouse, date from the 18th century. They are constructed from random sandstone rubble with quoins and feature a slate roof. The building is a rectangular two-storey structure built into the slope of the land, containing five pigsties. The first pigsty is somewhat larger and projects from the rest. There are five rectangular doorways with punched lintels and five smaller rectangular windows for the poultry loft above, along with a slit breather for each pigsty, some of which are blocked. At the right gable end, there is a raised doorway leading to the loft, accessed by external steps. This building is noted as a good example of an agricultural structure that is rare in this area.
