Description
Trough House is a house that likely dates from the late 17th century. It is constructed of pebbledashed rubble and features a slate roof. The building has a central-entry plan with end stacks and is two storeys high. The windows are mullioned with double chamfers, where the inner chamfer is hollow, and are topped with hoods. On the ground floor, there are two windows with five lights each, and the door has a chamfered surround with pyramid stops. The first floor contains two windows with four lights and a central window with two lights. The house also has shaped stone gutter brackets. The left-hand gable stack projects with offsets, while the right-hand gable features a chamfered two-light mullioned window (with a modern wooden copy towards the front) and a similar three-light window on the first floor.
