Description

This is a row of five houses dating from the early 19th century. They are constructed from squared watershot limestone and have slate roofs. The houses are two storeys high. Number 5 has two bays and features windows with plain stone surrounds and a central square mullion, except for the left-hand first floor window which lacks a mullion. Number 7 has one bay, with a window featuring glazing bars, plain reveals, and a central mullion; the first-floor window is a modern replacement with cement reveals. A plain stone surround frames the doorway on the right. Number 9 is of two bays and has two-light windows with a central square mullion and plain stone surround. A stone porch covers the central doorway. Number 11 has one bay and features tripartite windows with glazing bars, plain stone surrounds, and square mullions, with a plain stone surround to the left-hand doorway. Number 13 has one bay, with two-light windows featuring square mullions and plain stone surrounds. Chimneys are located on the gables of the row and between the bays, with the exception of number 5, which has no central chimney.
