Description
Lower West Clough Farmhouse is a house built in the late 18th century. It is constructed from watershot limestone with sandstone dressings and has a slate roof. The building features a double-pile plan with end stacks and presents a symmetrical facade that is two storeys high and consists of three bays. The windows are made up of three lights with square mullions and plain stone surrounds, except for the central first-floor window, which is a single light with a plain stone surround. The entrance door is flanked by Tuscan pilasters that support a moulded pediment. At the rear of the house, there are two two-light windows with plain stone surrounds and square mullions, along with a stair window that has a plain stone surround, a semi-circular head, a projecting keystone, and imposts.
