Description
The Mews Farmyard is a house, possibly once an agricultural building, dating from the 18th century and altered over time. It is constructed of coursed sandstone rubble, with the west wall being watershot, and features a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, with the main gabled facade facing north.
On the ground floor, there is a 2-light window with a plain stone surround and a square mullion. The first-floor window is also a 2-light design, featuring a rebated and chamfered surround with a later square mullion. The attic window consists of 2 lights, with a splayed mullion and a rebated and chamfered surround. To the right of the windows, there is a door with jambs that have a chamfer continuing across the lintel to form a triangle. The gable is topped with a coping. The west wall includes modern windows with plain stone surrounds and cement reveals.
