Description

Crane Wood Farmhouse is likely of the late 18th century. It is constructed of rendered rubble, with a stone slate roof. The house is two storeys high and has three bays. Windows in the first two bays have simple stone surrounds and square mullions, with three lights on the ground floor and two on the first floor. The right-hand bay features a sash window with a plain stone surround on the ground floor, and a two-light rebated and chamfered mullioned window reminiscent of the 17th century on the first floor. A modern window with a plain stone surround, likely originally a door, is situated between bays one and two. Chimneys are positioned on the gable ends and between bays two and three.
