Description

This is a row of six buildings, numbered 6 to 12 Duck Street, likely dating from the early 19th century or late 18th century. The buildings are constructed of coursed stone with rusticated quoins on the left-hand side, and have a stone slate roof. There are three stone and one brick chimney stack. Each building has four windows, with stone surrounds on both floors. The windows do not have glazing bars. The stone surrounds also define the doorways, with the doors being modern replacements except for those at numbers 6 and 12, which retain their original four-panel design. A rendered plinth runs along the base. The buildings have been recently heavily repointed, and feature a stone blocking course supported by plain brackets. Buildings 2 to 12 (even), along with numbers 14 and 16, and the premises occupied by Ceramica Italia Ltd, are grouped with numbers 26 to 32 (even).
