Description

Albin House is a farmhouse, now a house, likely dating from the 18th century, with later alterations. It is constructed from random sandstone rubble, with quoins to the front, which has been rendered. The roof is slate, with stone gable copings and brick chimneys positioned on the ridge and at the right gable. The house follows a single-depth, three-bay plan, with a shallow outshut to the rear of the third bay.

The two-storey facade features a board door set within a plain stone surround, located between the first and second bays. There are four windows at ground floor level, and one window above. The three windows to the left have four lights with chamfered, flush mullions. To the right are three smaller square windows; the two outer ones are fixed and contain six panes each. The first floor of the third bay has a four-pane sash window.

The rear of the first and second bays has two three-light windows on each floor, similar to those on the front, though three are missing a mullion each, and one has been altered into a six-pane fixed window. A door is present on the rear of the third bay, now obscured by a large wooden and glazed lean-to.
