Description

This is a mid-19th century town house, built after 1847. It is constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with sandstone dressings and a slate roof. The building has a double-depth, single-fronted plan with a rear extension. It is three storeys high, plus a basement, and has two bays.

The front features a stone plinth, a moulded sill band to the first floor, a plain frieze, and a moulded cornice. The doorway, located to the right and approached by three steps, has an engaged Ionic column doorcase with an entablature and cornice, along with hollow-moulded jambs and a six-panel door with a plain overlight. A lobby door is positioned to the left, with a raised, plain surround and a board door. A two-storey canted bay window is centrally located, incorporating a cellar window in the plinth, moulded cornices to both floors, altered glazing, and small wrought-iron ornamental railings along the top. There is one window above the doorway and two windows at the second floor, all with raised sills and wedge lintels, and altered glazing. Gable chimneys are present.

The interior has not been inspected, but the cellar connects via a tunnel beneath the road to a garden opposite, which has spear railings with urn finials.
