Description
The entrance gates to Haslam Park, built in 1910, consist of gatepiers, gates, steps, and flanking walls made of sandstone and wrought iron. A flight of 20 stone steps, bordered by rock-faced walling, leads up to tall, rusticated square gatepiers topped with prominent corniced caps. These gatepiers support double wrought-iron gates that feature elaborate cresting. To the left, there are smaller double gates with cast-iron piers. The entire structure is connected to simple rusticated outer piers by cast-iron railings that include standards with urn finials.
