Description

This street lamp standard, located at the south end of the east side of Avenham Walk in Preston, dates from the mid-19th century and has been altered. It is made of cast iron and features a square pedestal with shouldered panels. The fluted shaft is adorned with acanthus leaf decoration at the base, includes two intermediate rings, and has a gadrooned cap. A replacement lantern was being fitted at the time of the survey.
