Description
Far Salter Syke Farmhouse is a house dated 1710. It has a cement-rendered exterior, applied in 1981, and a slate roof. The building has two storeys. Most of the windows have had their mullions moved or removed, resulting in very wide lights. There is one single light window and one three-light window that have been altered, with square mullions and window surrounds. To the right, there is a window with chamfered reveals, although its mullions have been removed. On the first floor, there is one single window and one four-light window, both similar in style, along with a recent window to the right. The farmhouse features a gabled porch with a doorway that has chamfered reveals and a small square niche to the right. Above the doorway is a moulded datestone. There is also a doorway to the left of the porch and another on the far right, the latter of which has a modern glazed porch.
