Description
Admergill Hall is a house that was once three cottages, dating back to the 17th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble with a stone slate roof and has two storeys. There is a plain doorway to the left and a door with a deep, chamfered lintel to the right. The ground floor features windows arranged in a pattern of 2, 4, 2, 4, 3, 2, and 2-lights, most of which have chamfered stone mullions and jambs. The 2-light window on the left is from the 18th century. The first floor has windows with 2, 3, 3, 3, and 4-lights, with the extreme left window having had its mullions removed, and the 4-light window on the right also being from the 18th century. Inside, there is a very wide hearth with a Tudor arch made of stone featuring a concave chamfer. The doorway and 2-light window at the extreme right have been transferred from the Monks Resthouse, which is now a ruin located between Admergill Hall and Lower Admergill.
