Description

The Cross Gaits Inn is a public house dating to 1736. It is constructed of coursed rubble with a stone slate roof. The front elevation features a square stone inscribed “S/J E Good Ale to/ Morrow for nothing/AD 1736" above the doorway. The ground floor has three modern square windows. The first floor has three windows, each with three lights and flat stone mullions. A flight of seven steps leads up to a square-headed doorway. There is one doorway, which is off-centre, and one doorway has been blocked.
