Description
Ball House is a house dating from 1627 and later, constructed of rubble with quoins and featuring a stone slate roof, stone coping, and kneelers. The building has a two-cell plan with a direct entry to the main body of the house. The center of the house features an oversailing porch that includes a studded door set in a moulded doorway inscribed with "IM 1627 AM." Above the porch is a four-light mullioned and transomed window with moulded coping, kneelers, and a finial on the gable. The ground floor has a six-light window and a five-light window, along with a three-light window to the right. Above these are two six-light windows. All windows are adorned with chamfered stone mullions and returned drip labels. The left-hand return of the house has a stepped chimney and a bay window that is said to be from Wycoller. Some windows feature mason's marks. Inside, the house has double stone doorways.
