Description
Lowgill House, built in 1777, is a two-storey structure with three bays, constructed from squared coursed sandstone and topped with a tile roof. The windows are modern but feature plain stone surrounds. The central door has a plain stone surround and is located beneath a modern glazed porch. Above the door is a plaque inscribed with 'ACI 1777'. The gutter is supported by shaped brackets.
Adjoining to the south is a farm store, likely built in the early 19th century, made of rubble with a roof of stone slate and slate. This store has two bays and windows with plain stone surrounds; the first-floor windows include glazing bars, while the ground-floor window is sashed. The door, located in the right-hand bay of the store, also has a plain stone surround. Both the house and the farm store feature chimneys on their gables.
