Description
Snap Cottage and Well House are two houses built in the mid-18th century, constructed in two phases. They are made of painted sandstone rubble and stand two storeys tall, with each house consisting of one bay. The Well House, located on the right, appears to be the older of the two and features a stone slate roof. Its windows are composed of three lights and have flush chamfered mullions. The door on the left side has a plain stone surround and is topped with a flagstone hood supported by brackets. Snap Cottage has a tile roof and also features three-light flush chamfered mullioned windows. Its door, located on the left, is sheltered by an open gabled stone porch. Each house has a chimney on the right side. The left-hand gable wall of Snap Cottage is buttressed, as an adjoining building has been demolished.
