Description
36-37 St George's Quay is a pair of disused warehouses dating from the late 18th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. The buildings are constructed of squared coursed sandstone and have a remaining roof of corrugated asbestos. The left-hand warehouse has a rectangular plan and a gable facing the road, standing three storeys tall. It features a central loading slot with a plain stone surround, flanked by windows with similar surrounds on each floor, except for the ground floor, which has a doorway on the left. To the right, there are two additional warehouse facades of similar design, both now without roofs. Most of their ground-floor front walls have been removed to create wide entrances supported by steel joists. At the far right, two more bays step down from three to two storeys, with part of the front wall also demolished.
