Description
This is a house located at 25 St George's Quay, built around 1760 and altered in the 20th century. It is constructed of coursed sandstone with ashlar dressings and features a roof covered with 20th-century interlocking tiles. The building has three storeys above a cellar and is divided into three bays. All windows are 12-pane sashes with plain surrounds. The doorway, located in the left-hand bay, has a similar surround and features a door with 12 panels. There is a chimney on the right side of the building. The rear elevation includes two round-headed windows with intersecting Gothick glazing bars. Historically, this house was likely built alongside the warehouse on the corner of Elm Street, which has a beam dated April 3, 1760, marked with candlesmoke.
