Description
21 and 22 St George's Quay are a pair of houses built around 1800, with alterations made in the 20th century. They are constructed from sandstone rubble and topped with a slate roof, featuring a double-depth plan. The symmetrical facade consists of three storeys above a cellar, with one bay for each house and outer doorways. The windows have plain reveals and are late 20th-century casements with glazing bars. In front of the central cellar opening, there is a small area enclosed by iron railings. Each doorway has one reveal of hammer-dressed quoins and meets the chamfered quoins of the neighboring buildings, indicating that these houses were added later. Both doorways include transom lights; the left-hand door has six raised and fielded panels, while the right-hand door has been replaced with glazing, both featuring overlights. A chimney is located on the ridge, parallel to the front wall.
