Russell'S Farm House And Farm Buildings Adjoining In Same Range

Russell's Farm House and the adjoining farm buildings were built in 1682, with alterations made later. The farm buildings likely date from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. The roof is covered with slate, except for the southern farm building, which has a tiled roof. The house features an end baffle-entry plan and stands two storeys tall. The windows have rebated and chamfered surrounds, although the mullions have been removed. There are two windows on each floor, with a smaller window on the first floor to the right. An inserted door on the left has plain reveals, while the original doorway on the right has a moulded surround and a lintel decorated with leaf and tendril motifs, along with the inscription 'IRE 1682'. A chimney is located on the right side of the house. Although the interior was not accessible during the survey, it is reported to have exposed ceiling beams and a built-in cupboard. To the left, a farm building features three windows with plain reveals. On the right, there is a barn with a wide entrance that has a stone lintel. Additionally, the former shippon end projects forward, with its front wall containing an inserted door and window beneath a lintel.
