Description
Bridge Inn Cottage is a house built in 1642, constructed from sandstone rubble and topped with a stone slate roof. It has two storeys and features an end baffle-entry plan. On the ground floor to the left, there is a three-light window with rebated and chamfered mullions and a hood. The first floor has two windows with rebated and chamfered surrounds; the right-hand window has a lowered sill. The door is located on the right under an open gabled stone porch and has a moulded surround with a triangular head, with the lintel inscribed 'CN 1642'. A chimney is positioned on the right, featuring a weathered offset and a moulded cornice. The left gable wall consists of one bay and includes rebated and chamfered mullioned windows with hoods. The ground-floor window originally had four lights but now has three lights blocked, and all three lights of the first-floor window are also blocked. Above, there is a blocked one-light attic window.
