Description
Bantons Farmhouse is a house built in 1747, with some alterations made since then. It is constructed from sandstone rubble and has a slate roof. The building has two storeys and three bays. The windows feature chamfered surrounds and were originally designed with three lights, although the mullions have been removed. The ground floor windows have had their sills lowered and include straight drip moulds. There is a door located between the second and third bays that has a stone surround. Above this door, there is an oval plaque inscribed with 'TC 1747'. The farmhouse has chimneys on the gables and to the left of the second bay. Inside, the main ceiling joists are boxed, but there are no visible features of architectural interest.
