Description
The bridge over the River Wyre, located in the grounds of Wyreside Hall, dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed from punched sandstone blocks and features rusticated voussoirs. The bridge has a single elliptical arch, which is flanked by attached piers that include round-headed niches. There is a string course beneath a solid parapet that originally had two openings on each side, with baluster infill. However, the western opening on the south side has been filled in, and the western opening on the north side is missing two balusters.
