Description
Corless Mill Cottage, also known as Keeper's Cottage, is an early 19th-century cottage orné that is currently unoccupied. It incorporates some 17th-century dressings and is constructed from slobbered watershot rubble with a hipped slate roof that is rounded at the corners and features overhanging eaves. The building is one storey high with an attic and consists of two bays. The windows have rebated and chamfered surrounds and horizontal sliding sashes with glazing bars, although the left-hand half of the left-hand sash is missing. The corners of the walls are rounded in plan. To the right, there is a lean-to addition that includes a door with a plain stone surround. The cottage has a central chimney, and on each of the shorter sides (east and west), there are hipped attic dormers. The east wall features a door with plain reveals and a chamfered lintel, while the original west wall, now part of the outshut, has a door with a chamfered surround. There is a continuous outshut at the rear.
