Description
The wall on the north side of the garden at Old Mill House dates from around 1800. It is constructed of squared sandstone rubble topped with coping. Near the western end, the wall features two gateways with moulded stone surrounds; the right-hand gateway has an ogee head, while the left-hand gateway has a pointed arch. Between these gateways is a mounting block made from a single stone block, which is cut with three steps. Further to the left, there is an opening flanked by two gate piers that are square in plan, made of sandstone ashlar and topped with pyramidal caps.
