Description

Nos. 1, 3 and 5 Wagon Road are a row of houses dating from the early to mid-19th century. They are constructed from watershot sandstone and feature a slate roof. The buildings have chamfered quoins and each house is two storeys high with two bays. The windows are sash style with glazing bars and plain stone surrounds, although the windows in No. 1 are mostly modern imitations, except for the left-hand window on the first floor. The doors, located in the right-hand bays, also have plain stone surrounds. Each house has chimneys positioned to the right and on the left gable. On the rear of the left-hand gable, there is a window with a plain stone surround on each floor, with the first-floor window being sash with glazing bars. To the left of this window is a door with a plain stone surround.
