Description

This is a mirrored pair of cottages built in the early 19th century. They are constructed with roughcast walls, sandstone dressings, and a slate roof. Key features include a hipped roof with overhanging eaves, a central chimney stack, and entrances on the return walls. The cottages are two storeys high. The front elevation has two bays, one for each cottage. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, set in plain stone surrounds; the ground-floor window on the left-hand cottage is boarded up and not visible. The return walls are largely blank, with sandstone slab porches. The porch of the left-hand cottage now has a modern door.
