Description
Halton Park Farmhouse is a house of uncertain original use, dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed from slobbered sandstone rubble and features a slate roof. The building has two storeys and its facade is divided into two halves, with a chimney positioned between them and an additional chimney centrally located in each half. The left-hand half appears to be the earlier section, characterized by mid-18th century windows that have a shallow chamfer and chamfered mullions, with two windows on each storey: one on the ground floor consisting of three lights, and the others with two lights each. This section also includes two doorways with cyma mouldings, one of which is now blocked and has been converted into a window at the left end of the facade. The later part on the right consists of three bays, featuring a chamfered doorway on the left and two-light windows with square mullions. The entrance leads into a hallway that includes a flight of plain stone steps with an iron handrail.
