Description

Wray House is a house dating from around 1800. It is constructed from stuccoed rubble with a slate roof. The house is two storeys with an attic, and comprises five bays, with chamfered quoins and a cornice. The three central bays project slightly, also with chamfered quoins. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, set within plain stone surrounds. A small window with plain reveals has been inserted to the left of the right-hand window on the first floor. The front door, currently located in the second bay, was moved from the central bay around 1900 and has a plain stone surround and a Corinthian porch with half columns acting as responds. Chimneys are situated on the gables and to each side of the three central bays. The gables are coped. The rear wall incorporates a re-set moulded doorway with a moulded lintel inscribed '1688 WM'.
