Description

Darwen House is a house built around 1800, constructed from slobbered rubble with sandstone dressings and a slate roof. It features a two-unit double-pile plan with a central entrance and gable stacks. The building has two storeys and two bays. Notable architectural details include chamfered quoins and plain stone surrounds for the windows and door. The windows are sash style. There is a cellar opening with a plain stone surround located under the right-hand window. Additionally, the house has stone gutter brackets and coping with a kneeler on the left-hand gable.
