Description
The WRVS Offices, originally a house, was built in 1844 and is now vacant. It is constructed from squared coursed sandstone with ashlar dressings and features a hipped slate roof. The building has a symmetrical design, consisting of two storeys and three bays, with a plinth, chamfered quoins, and a first-floor sill band. The windows are glazing bar sashes set within stone architraves. The stone doorcase is adorned with Tuscan pilasters that have sunken panels, topped with a cornice featuring a plain frieze and blocking course. The eaves overhang is supported by paired timber brackets, and there is a chimney located to the right. To the left, set back, is a wall that includes a door with a plain stone surround on the ground floor. Above this door is a stone that is carved with a sunken cross and the date '1844'.
