Description
Botton Mill Cottage is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of sandstone rubble and has a stone slate roof, standing two storeys tall. The south-east wall, which faces Mill Beck, features two bays with windows that have stone surrounds and flat-faced mullions; the left bay has three lights and the right bay has two lights. There are gable chimneys on the roof. The north-west wall includes windows with plain reveals and a single-storey timber porch. The cottage is located adjacent to the site of Botton Mill, a water-powered corn mill that was demolished by 1895.
