Description

Holmere Bank is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of limestone rubble with a limestone ashlar front, and has a slate roof. The house is two storeys high with attics, originally comprising three bays, but with a one-bay addition to the left. The main facade features chamfered quoins, a parapet, and a moulded cornice. It has sash windows with glazing bars set in plain ashlar surrounds. The central doorway has a plain stone surround and a moulded cornice hood. The left-hand extension has chamfered quoins, a canted bay window on the ground floor, and a plain ashlar surround to a first-floor window, both windows having sash glazing bars. The rear wall has a tall stair window with glazing bars and a plain stone surround, as well as doorways and windows with plain stone surrounds.
