Description

Canal Bridge Number 73 is a bridge over the Leeds-Liverpool Canal, originally part of the Lancaster Canal South End, built in the 1790s. It is constructed of stone and features a high elliptical arch with a triple keystone. The bridge has buttressed piers at each end, and the walls are battered and curve inwards towards the center. It includes bands and parapets with rounded coping, which are topped with simple modern railings.
