Description
Habergham Hall Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the late 18th century. It is constructed from watershot coursed sandstone rubble with quoins and has a stone slate roof featuring gable chimneys and one ridge chimney. The building has a double-depth, three-bay plan and stands two storeys tall, with a single-storey extension at the east end. The design is almost symmetrical and very plain, with undecorated square stone surrounds around all openings. There are opposed doors on the front and rear walls. The south or garden front has two windows on each floor; the two left of the door have two lights, while the two on the right have three lights, all with flush mullions and sashes. The rear facing the yard has similar windows, with two on the ground floor and three above, all of two lights except for the left one, which has three lights. The extension at the east of the rear features a plain board door at the junction and a six-pane fixed window. The west gable wall has been reconstructed after being damaged by a thunderbolt. The interior has not been inspected. This farmhouse is listed as a good example of a very plain local type from the period.
