Description
The lych gate to the Church of St. David, built in 1909, is made of stone and features a stone slate roof. It has recessed segmental-pointed arches on both the front and rear that blend into the jambs. The cornices are adorned with black-letter text and raised lettering. The returns of the gate have recesses with dog-tooth mouldings along the cornices and cusped lights. The cornice includes angle gargoyles, and the hipped roof is topped with gablets; the left gablet displays David's harp, while the right one shows the date of construction, with a cross at the ridge. Inside, there is a segmental-pointed vault supported by transverse ribs and two seats. A plaque commemorates its erection. A stone wall extends to the west and south of the lych gate, featuring a stone inscribed with the names of church wardens and the date 1837. This structure is included for its group value.
