Farm outbuilding, comprising threshing barn, attached byre with overloft, and lower ancillary range to south. Early C19, with near contemporary additions and C20 alterations. Red brick, laid to English garden wall bond beneath a slated roof laid to diminishing courses. West elevation; 4 bays of 2 storeys, the southern bay an addition, with a lower 3 bay shallow extension to the south. Recessed entry bay to 2-storeyed part, with brick panel above boarded, ledged and braced double doors incorporating a segmental relieving arch. Flanking the doorway are stacked decorative ventilation panels of reel pattern. To the south, added 2-storeyed bay with single doorway and taking-in door above Half-width single bay lean-to against south gable and behind, 3 bay ancillary range with 2 ground floor doorways and a flight of stone steps to a first floor doorway at the south end, which also has a full height lean-to against the south gable. Interior of 2 storey range has massive roof trusses which combine king and queen post construction, the former double-shouldered to support 2 tiers of diagonal braces. The trusses support lapped double purlins and a ridge purlin. An exceptionally large and well-detailed example of an early C19 threshing barn.
