Description
The chapel, located approximately 60 meters to the southwest of the lodge to Ince Cemetery, was built between 1855 and 1857 by A. Waterhouse. It is constructed from rock-faced stone with ashlar dressings and features a slate roof with bands of hexagonal slates, designed in the Early English style. The chapel has a three-bay nave, a short chancel, and a north porch (which is actually on the southwest side). The nave features trefoil-headed lights set between weathered buttresses. The gabled porch has a single-order entrance and three-light open side windows, with trefoil-headed lights on colonnettes. The west end includes a five-light window with pointed lights, while the east end of the nave has a bellcote. The chancel is supported by low angle buttresses and has three stepped trefoil-headed lights beneath hood moulds.
