Description

The Station Master's House, originally a farmhouse and now a veterinary surgery, dates from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of Flemish bond brick and features a slate roof. The building has a double-depth central-entrance plan and stands two storeys high, with a service wing at the rear. The entrance door is topped by a pitched canopy. On the ground floor, there are sash windows with stone sills and flat brick arches. Gable ridge stacks are present. Before the railway opened in 1862, it was known as Peel Causeway Farmhouse. The building is included for its group value.
