Description

The footbridge at Hale Station, built in the 1880s for the Cheshire Lines Committee, is a Grade II listed structure. This footbridge crosses a railway line and features a single span with flights of steps that are positioned at right angles to the bridge. It is supported by sets of four cast iron columns that have crocket capitals. The bridge includes structural wrought iron lattice work for its parapet walls, and the walkway is made of timber. Originally, the bridge was enclosed by a roof.
